Charleston Inshore Fishing
Inshore fishing in Charleston is fantastic year-round making it one of the top inshore fishing destinations on the East coast. Inshore fishing takes you down the beautiful inlets, sounds, bays, tidal creeks, marsh grasses, oyster banks, and estuaries to find some choice fish. Rated one of the top inshore fishing destinations on the East Coast, we will guide you through these waters to catch some of South Carolina’s famous Redfish. Flounder, Speckled Sea Trout, Lady Fish, Black Drum, Tarpon, Jacks, Sharks and Sheepshead are also popular fish in these locations and are sure to make an appearance.
Inshore fishing is perfect for families and new anglers as big waves and wind are minimal, reducing seasickness. Dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and otters also frequent the area, so you may get a chance to see more than just fish.
We use a light tackle for our inshore fishing, and it is similar to large-mouth bass fishing. While inshore fishing is year-round, water temperatures will play a role in the size of your catch. The cooler months (October – April) are our prime targets for large schools of slot size redfish.
Our inshore fishing trips also include harbor fishing during the warmer months (May-September). This is still within land; however, we switch to heavy tackle and start our journey to catching larger inshore fish, like Bull Redfish ranging from 20 – 75 lbs. Tarpon, up to 120 pounds and you will almost always come across some of our shark friends that can range 1 to 8 ft. in length.

Charleston Nearshore Fishing
Nearshore fishing off Charleston’s coast is a perfect opportunity to hook some big fish and have great action! Charleston’s nearshore waters are full of shipwrecks, ledges, live bottom areas, artificial reefs and many other types of structure that attract lots of different species.
On our nearshore fishing charters, we run between 5-40 miles from the coastline. We tend to encounter seasonal species such as grouper, snapper, giant sharks, amberjack, sheepshead, cobia, spadefish, seabass, mackerel and much, much more! Jigging, bottom fishing and trolling are the methods we use while on our nearshore fishing charters. Charleston Shark Fishing
Charleston shark fishing is not for the faint of heart. We go where the monsters lurk. Whether we are in the channels of the harbor or sight casting behind the shrimp boats right off the beach, we will get you the best shot at the alpha predator of the deep.
There are many species of sharks that migrate to the Charleston waters. Bulls, hammerheads, lemons, sandbar, blacktip and Atlantic sharpnose are just a few of the species we find ourselves battling against.
